CAFOD GroupThe CAFOD Group is a group of parishioners who, working together, raise funds to support a village in some of the poorest parts of the world, this village is nominated by the National Cafod Group. Each year in the Parish we raise money by hosting a Cafod meal, collecting using the green boxes during Lent, and having a pudding sale on Father's day, we also collect stamps, broken items of jewellery, old coins, and old mobile phones. Information about our work can be found by looking at the Cafod notice board in the porch of the Church. The Parish was thrilled to be nominated the 50th Live Simply Parish in the UK in 2018.

LIFE GroupThe LIFE Group works as a collection of the Churches in the Walsall Deanery. At St. Mary the Mount, Glebe Street, Walsall we have a Helpstation which is located at 23 Glebe Street. Here any items we have collected such as baby clothes, cots, prams, toiletries, mother's clothing, maternity clothes, and clothing for children up to 5 years of age are handed out free of charge to those in most need. Here we deal with crisis pregnancies, post abortion issues, refugees, asylum seekers, and economic migrants. For those who are dealing with crisis pregancies and are in need of accomodation we have six flatlets located in our Life House in which we can accomodate those who have a need until they become independent, at which time the housing association (ACCORD) will find them a permanent residence. We also support those who come through our doors through educational talks, helping them to understand issues surrounding parenting and life skills. Any donations which can help in our work will be gratefully received, simply contact the Parish Priest. If you would like to join this Group or for more information about their work, please see the notice board in the porch of the Church.

Guild of St StephenAltar Servers play an important part in the Church's Liturgy. Good servers enable us all, Priests and Laity, to celebrate the Mass and the other Sacraments with a spirit of prayer. For well over 80 years, the Archconfraternity of St. Stephen has worked for the highest standards in serving the Liturgy. To become a member of the Guild you have to serve on a regular basis for a period of at least 1 year, after which you will be admitted to the Guild on the Feast of St. Stephen (26th December). If you would be interested in becoming a server here at the Parish of St. Mary of the Angels please contact the Parish Priest.
