Stage Four of the Roadmap
As we move into Stage Four of the roadmap out of lockdown the responsibility for keeping each other safe now passes from the Westminster Government into the hands of the local community. This means that we, each and everyone of us, have a moral responsibility of caring for each other. The removal of the restrictions IS NOT a green light to go back to the way things were before March 2020 - the virus is real, and the risk of infection is real. Over the past year we have put into place a set of practices which have enabled the church to remain open, enabled our church to be a safe place for all who pass through the doors. Even thought the restrictions have been lifted
we must not abandon these practices, instead we must now take responsibility for them upon ourselves. As of Monday 19th July 2021 there will be no stewards at any of the Masses, however, we are still required to keep a 'Track and Trace' of everybody who attends Mass. If you have the NHS Track and Trace App on your phone, you will be able to 'Check in' using the QR code located on the left hand pillar as you enter the porch (you will therefore not be required to check yourself in manually). If you do not have the NHS App, after completing the form below a list will be generated and placed at the back of the church. As you enter the church you will simply be required to place a 'Tick' next to your name (could I ask that you bring your own pen in order to do this).
For those who are a little sceptical about being required to complete a 'Track and Trace' form I would like to give you a little reassurance - your information IS NOT SHARED with anybody outside of the parish office - the information given is for Parish usage only. Should a person test positive for COVID-19 after attending Mass it is the Parish who will contact you - at which point it is up to you how you respond.
